Don't miss the television adaptation of My Place, the children's book by Nadia Wheatley and Donna Rawlins, from February 28 on ABC1. Looking back from the year 2008 to 1888, the My Place television series covers the stories of the children who live in the same house over 130 years. The series includes all characters from the book and introduces two new characters, Lily and Mohammed.
The rich content of the book and television series is encapsulated in the My Place for teachers interactive website. This exciting source of educational materials is designed to support teachers in exploring issues and contexts presented in My Place and launches 18 March 2010. Read the book, watch the series, and then explore the teaching resources on the website: www.myplace.edu.au/
